Mistral founder Tracey moved to London as a free-spirited teen following her fashion passion. Before leaving the capital to establish a family, she worked on a large retailer’s buying team in the British highstreet.

Still obsessed with casual wear, Tracey and her father John formed a strong father-daughter combination in the mid-1990s, combining their business and creative skills. This led to the first Mistral store in Malmesbury.

The Mistral brand has grown since there started with five employees (including John and Tracey)! Mistral has expanded due to their team’s dedication. Today, there have stores on UK high streets and a thriving wholesale business across Europe.

Their ‘re growing online too, working hard to provide their lovely consumers their Mistral fashion fix whenever they choose. After retiring in March 2020, John left the firm in good hands. Like Mistral’s prints, the future is bright!

Mistral credit their excellent in-house creatives for their unique style. Their gorgeous print ideas begin in their central office, inspired by the ever-changing surroundings around their and other destinations. Each is handmade by their talented designers, who cut lino and paint daily.
